Well, who would believe it, but I’ve actually made it to 50 years old young! ;-)
And what better place to celebrate such a milestone than Las Vegas? Yeehaw!
My daughters Skye and Hayley flew in from Adelaide whilst I flew in from Muscat. Half way ’round the world for all of us, but in opposite directions.
And what a great time we had!
Had the bejesus scared out of me on the thrill rides on top of the Stratosphere Tower (certainly an excellent layman’s way of conducting a cardiac stress test!), fired assorted weapons at the Las Vegas Gun Store, dined at the “Top of The World” restaurant, met one of my all time favourite actresses Halle Berry, chatted “on set” with the extremely cute Cameron Diaz, saw “The Lion King” live on stage, lunched with the LV Hooters girls, watched the magnificent Bellagio musical fountains at dusk, drank margaritas and danced and partied until the early hours…
Above: My video of Bellagio’s fountains. Below: A photo slide-show
The highlight though was the helicopter flight to the Grand Canyon where we enjoyed canapés and champagne on the banks of the Colorado river before flying back at sunset. Complete with stretch limo transfers from the hotel to the airport and back naturally!

Jealous? Don’t blame you. I would be too!
